Pictures From A Run

The composer Mussorgsky wrote a beautiful beautiful piece of music called Pictures at an Exhibition.  I'm listening to it as I type this.  Last week when I was out running I decided to take some spring pictures because I just love spring so much (see previous post), and I decided to make my own blogosition of pictures.  Maybe listening to Mussorgsky while viewing them might help you to get the entire idea.  Maybe not.  Either way, here are Pictures From A Run:

First of all, I was so surprised to see this downed tree because at that point we hadn't really had any winds or storms (this was EARLY last week, before all of the wind and rain that we've had recently).  I also was not planning to have to take a detour, since the sidewalk is usually so tame.  Little did I know when I started out that day what sort of adventure awaited me.

Maybe you're getting tired of seeing these trees, but I never will.  They are so beautiful and so fleeting.

Spring flowers.  They were really pretty in person, but this picture makes them look a little sparse.  Maybe I should have edited.

The purple ones are my favorite.  I fully intend to have one outside of my kitchen window some day.

LOVELY!
