Branson Bound

I'm all packed up and ready to go.  A few duffle bags, some boxes, and 13 pairs of shoes for 10 weeks (gotta have my shoes).  I am going to a ministry called Discipleship Focus.  All the details came together fairly suddenly.  I made (what seemed like to me) a big leap of faith and committed to being on summer leadership after feeling like I was hearing from the Lord that this is what I was supposed to do with my summer.  I have really seen Him come through for me in big ways, and I am amazed at how he really has "hemmed me in, behind and before" throughout the process of making this transition.

For those who are interested, I'd like to keep you updated, and ask you to pray for me throughout the summer when you think of me.  Right now my prayers are:
  • Safe travel to Branson and back to Texas, and that my car would run smoothly all summer long (no problems at all yet, but just a good thing to pray for a single gal!)
  • Great, life-giving relationships with the other gals and guys on leadership
  • Wisdom, discernment, and patience to wait on the Lord as I hang out with and mentor young ladies from ages eighteen to twenty-something.
  • For restoration and rest-I really believe that this is one reason that God has provided me with this opportunity and I want to be diligent to accept this.
  • Also, PRAISE GOD for who He is, how He provides, how He pursues and restores and how intimately He loves.  I have seen that so much recently and just can't help but be thankful, and I want you to be thankful too.
Okay, that's it for now (unless God tells you something else to pray for, then you'd better listen!).  I'll keep you updated through the summer.  I'm so excited and blessed, and I just can't believe how much I've seen His provision throughout this process.
