Sometimes I have horrible, frustrating days (like today) that make me angry. Then I come home and try to do something to take my mind off, to calm down, to let it roll off, to cope. Tonight's coping mechanism is elephants. They are my favorite animal and the more I learn about them, the more I am intrigued. Did you know that both male and female elephants use their tusks to help them with every day sorts of tasks? The most amazing thing about this is they can be either left-tusked or right-tusked (favoring either their right or left tusk, as we are right or left-handed). Through favoring one tusk over the other that particular tusk tends to get worn down and will become shorter over the elephant's lifetime. Amazing. Here is a (short!) video that I stumbled across yesterday and probably watched about ten times. Enjoy!
